News:

Out of Hours
The Surgeries are closed outside these hours (and on bank holidays).  However, for emergency problems you can telephone Bay Urgent care (the out-of-hours emergency service) on 0300 123 1144.

Telephone Advice
All the Doctors are willing to speak to patients over the telephone.  Please ring the surgery if you need telephone advice and the receptionist will book you in to a “telephone advice appointment”. You will be advised by the receptionist when the Doctor will call you back.

Cancelling your Appointment
If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone or use the link at the bottom of this page to cancel your appointment.

Pill Repeats

For all Contraceptive Pill repeats you can now see the NURSE, just let us know the name of the pill you are taking so we can have the prescription ready at your appointment.

Training

This practice is a training practice, which means we have medical students, Foundation Doctors and General Practice Registrars working in the surgery. Medical students are nearing the end of their studies and come in to the practice as part of their undergraduate training, just before they qualify.

They aim to gain as much clinical experience as possible. Foundation Doctors work in our practice for four months at a time. They are recently qualified Doctors who will consult with you and then discuss your case with one of the more experienced Doctors.

General Practice Registrars are experienced doctors who come to the practice for up to twelve months towards the end of their post graduate training to gain further experience in general practice and take the GP membership examination.

The trainees sometimes use video cameras during their consultations.  This is for training purposes; the camera is focused on the Doctor to assess their consultation skills.  You will be asked for written consent to film your consultation.  Full details will be given to you at the time.
